Abstract

Caladenia alpina R.S. Rogers, from mainland south-eastern Australia and Tasmania, is found to be distinct from C. lyallii Hook.f. which is endemic to New Zealand. Descriptions are provided for both of these species and a related species, Caladenia cracens, from southern Tasmania is described as new. All species are illustrated and a key to the complex is provided.
